The Visiting Pupil Network allows pupils from other Steiner schools, in the UK and across
the globe, to attend the Brighton Steiner School for a period of time. We actively encourage
this exchange network to assist in creating an awareness of different cultures and to support
the inter-relationship between fellow schools. One of the key strengths of Steiner Education
is its international curriculum, which makes such exchanges possible and profitable for Steiner
students worldwide.
The Brighton Steiner School has a comprehensive English Language Department to meet the
varying needs and requirements of foreign language students. Within the school community
there are families who offer secure and homely accommodation to visiting students.
Temporary Pupils
It is recommended that applications for temporary pupils be for a one term minimum in order
for all pupils to derive a healthy experience and for the curriculum to deliver to the individual.
All temporary pupils are required to pay fees for their education and other costs while enrolled
at the school.
Exchange Pupils
An exchange arrangement involves building a partnership between two selected schools
and ordinarily families continue to pay their usual fees to their school of origin, along
with any other additional educational or recreational costs. Families are invited to first
make enquiries to the school parent body requesting an exchange opportunity (for example,
through the school newsletter).
Exchanges are accepted at the school's discretion, following a consultation process.
Applications for older children (over 13) are preferred, on pedagogical grounds.
