In 2009, the year of our 25th anniversary, Brighton Steiner School
began a survey of former pupils. We wanted to find out how they
are doing now, what they did after leaving school and how their
experience of a Steiner education has influenced their lives, choices
and opportunities. Some of those who have written to us started in
Early Years and continued right through the school, others spent
some years with us, but all feel that their Steiner education has had
a lasting effect on them.
Their stories are available by downloading our alumni
booklet. This is a large PDF file (15Mb) so please be patient.
“Find the centre of your being,
where there is the source of your initiative.
Observe that in your life all joy and sorrow,
all happiness and pain will depend
on finding - or not finding -
your own individual initiative.
This should stand written as though
in golden letters.”
Rudolf Steiner, August 1924
