Entrance free.\n\n\nWe highly recommend that all parents attend this inspirational talk by Josie Alwyn who is the course leader of ‘Waldorf Education for Adolescents’ at Steiner House in London. All welcome.\n\n\nWhether your child is already in the midst of adolescence\, or whether this phase if still far in the future\, acquire nuggets of wisdom from this experienced speaker.\n\n‘The task of all the teachers in this phase is to enable the unfolding of the inner being and individuality of the young person into an independent\, capable and responsible adult.’ \n\nSteiner Waldorf Schools Fellowship\n\n \n\nGain insights into the developmental stages of adolescents and practical tools of how to meet these.\n\nWaldorf Education acknowledges the challenges which youth face in the 21st Century and aims to enable parents to work with their children’s teachers to support them through this time.

DESCRIPTION:Brighton Steiner School is delighted to invite you to our first whole school open evening with taster lessons for you to experience. FREE\n\nParticipate in an eurythmy session for parents with Kelly our eurythmy teacher. Eurythmy is best experienced to get a feel for what is is about. Eurythmy is an art of movement that engages the whole human being\, integrating bodily movement with movements that arise within the soul. It creates a harmonious relationship between the inner self and the physical body. It is an art form more closely related to dance than gymnastics\, taught in Steiner Waldorf school. More information about eurythmy in curriculum section.\n\nEnjoy a science experiment with Upper School science teacher Rachel Gatehouse. Brighton Steiner School are pleased to have expanded our range of GCSE subjects to include Chemistry. Physics is also on offer for pupils as an extra curricular GSCE choice. Art in the Upper School is usually of a high standard. Observe an upper school art lesson in progress with Maddy Pettit.\n\nYou can also experience wet-on-wet watercolour painting in one of the kindergarten's. All sessions are open to everyone\, regardless of how old your children are.\n\nAll classrooms will be open for you to visit and many class and subject teachers will be available for you to talk with\, from the early years\, lower\, middle and upper school.
